Enjoy a beautiful swim in waters off Rottnest Island.
The bike course is a 20km loop around Rottnest Island and heads in a clockwise direction around the Island. The course is described as scenic, fast and technical. The course is broken up with small rolling undulations and some corners, but there are plenty of straight roads to put your head down and produce a great bike time.
There are no vehicles allowed on Rottnest apart from authority vehicles and the bus service that all travel in the same direction. There will be the odd ‘Quokka’ – a marsupial local to the area although are mainly nocturnal to keep an eye out for, and the only obstacle to be considered on course are two railway level crossings but in general the course is perfect for such a race and the roads are in good condition for time trialing.
With stunning back drops this will be an amazing bike course in the long course and sprint distance triathlon.
